Kamakazie Pigeons

This morning at about 9:45, as I was typing an email on my computer, I heard a loud crash in my roommate's bedroom. I ran in to discover his bed room window completely shattered. Utterly perplexed, I ran onto the balcony, searching for what I suspected were the little punks who threw a rock at his window, yet the courtyard was eerily quiet.

I went back inside to investigate the crime scene, and discovered the presence of several indicting feathers mixed in with the glass. Thats when I concluded that rather than a couple little pukes on the ground, we were the victim of a pigeon kamikazie attack. That leads me to ask, what did my roommate do to piss off the birds to the extent that they are divebombing our apartment?

That being said, I would like to use this platform to proclaim my undying loyalty and affection for giant rats with wings. Please don't attack my window. . .

Robert Randolph and the Family Band

http://www.robertrandolph.net

On Wednesday night I went to First Ave. to see Robert Randolph and the Family Band. This has to be the third time I've seen them I think, but this was the first time I really appreciated just how talented this band is. They played primarily a 3 hr. set of 15-20 min. jams, but they were consistently en fuego the entire evening, never once losing the audience. It takes one hell of a jam band to be able to play with that much intensity for that long. If they come around, I highly recommend checking them out.

If you're curious, click the link to go to their home page. At the bottom, you can listen to several songs from their two albums. My favorite is Ted's Jam. I've been listening to it almost nonstop for the past two days!

Who wudda thunk it. . . This is absolutely classic!

From Bespectacled to Despectacled

This week I made a major, life-altering decision. I got contact-lenses. That's right, for the first time since 7th Grade, I'm no going sans-spectacles. My assessment so far: I like having peripheral vision. My new task is now to find a pair of real sun glasses.

Revenge of the hippies?

Today while at campus I bought a package of "all-natural" (is anything now really all-natural?) cinnamon-sugar dried pita pieces from the store on the skyway. Oddly these have made me extremely noxious. Is this the revenge of the hippies which beauregard prattles incessantly on and on about? More likely I believe it is a result of the olestra laced doritos he served up at his super bowl party last night. Ultimately this just further proves my point: Organic food from the co-op = good.
