Having a Blast in Berlin

Well, I'm back in the greatest city in the world. I have plenty of pics, but I'll post those later. My hostel is nice, but is also home to a petting zoo. My window faces the zoo, so every morning I wake up bright and early with the Rooster and Geese. I never thought I would say that. . . Those stupid things make so much noise. . . Ok more later!

Leaving on a Jet Plane. . .

So, in roughly 7 hours I'll be on a plane to Berlin via Iceland. Since I will hopefully come back with tons of pictures from this trip, I figured I would try to post some more from Buffalo before I leave. These are pictures from a couple nights out with Joe and Fred. Enjoy. . .

Excellent dinner conversation was had by all. Posted by Picasa

After the hard work of pumping up the bike, we went to the Towne for some excellent souvlaki. Posted by Picasa

Maximum effort, before we finally used common sense and used the electric pump. Posted by Picasa

One night Joe tried to pump up the tires in his bike, so we used an old hand pump from my car. It was a total failure, but Joe was nevertheless enthusiastic about the effort. Posted by Picasa

I should do a themed post: Fred in Family Restaurants: Late at Night. This is the IHOP. Posted by Picasa

New York Ed and the Elusive Tube Socks

In a crusade worthy of Indiana Jones, Big Ed had trouble locating his socks one day back in Buffalo. Thankfully I had my camera close by and was able to document the successful conclusion of Big Ed's search.

Actually, this is only a recreation of the sock search. During the actual event, Big Ed tore apart the house for 10 min. looking for his socks, insisting he could not leave until they were located. After 15 min. the search was finally called off when he realized they were on his feet all along.

Thankfully, his socks are now on his feet. Posted by Picasa

Lake Nocomis

For the past two days I've been running down at Lake Nocomis, a perfect example of Minneapolis's wonderful parks system. Its one of several lakes within the city that has excellent running trails. Unfortunately though, I forgot my camera again, so sadly no pics. Perhaps I'll remember next time I go.
