Did you know. . .

I am working in the office right now with my good buddy Greg. He's finishing up a project he's been working on, summarizing Medieval Cannon Law from the Konciliargeschichte. He's been reading off random laws to me for the past 20 or so min., and I decided to share them with you.

Did you know:

It was illegal to eat an animal killed by another animal.

Bishops were prohibited from keeping dogs in their houses out of fear the animals would attack the poor.

It was illegal for Bishops to share a room or bed with their wives, out of fear of "carnal intercourse."

If a woman and Cleric have committed adultery, both must be punished by the Bishop, and the woman banished from society.

So, there you have it, this is what people debated in the Middle Ages. . .
