Rock 'em Sabres

Ok, I write this post out of frustration with the lack of activity shown by the Buffalo Sabres following the conclusion of the latest collective bargaining agreement.

This new agreement was supposed to make small market hockey teams like the Sabres competitive in the new NHL. Other teams, like Pittsburgh and Edmonton have gone bananas and signed several big names. Yet, strangely the Sabres have not only remained quiet, but let two of their big name free agents (Zhitnik and Satan) sign with the Islanders.

So, on the off chance that Larry Quinn or Darcy Regier come upon my blog, I urge you: TAKE SOME ACTION! In the past two days big names like LeClair, Mogilny, and LeCavallier have all signed with new teams. Time is running out, but there is still one guy out there: Teemu Selanne! That is what this team really needs is a sniping winger who can be a consistent scoring threat. Whats even better is then the Sabres could be home to two old, great Winnipeg Jets legends in Teemu Selanne and Teppo Numminen.

Please, Mr. Quinn and Mr. Regier, give me something to look forward too this season. I have faith that we have a good young core of players who will be fun to watch every night, but what this team sorely lacks now more than ever is veteran leadership.

Hear my plea, SIGN SELANNE NOW!!!!
