Initial Reflections

Today I got the new Sam Roberts album in the mail. I am not sure however what to make of it yet. Initially it seemed rather stilted, not having the same flowing, genuine qualities of the original. I love We Were Born in a Flame in part because it is intelligent, catchy music that flows so effortlessly. That being said, I think I'm warming to it a second time around, so I'll say the jury's still out on this one.

If you haven't heard it already however, you must get Sam Roberts' debut album. Not hearing it is a heretical Bildungsloecher in my book.
